Mr. Fowler is an experienced hospital operator and multi-hospital system executive. He has over 26 years of experience in operations and leadership in diverse settings ranging from rural facilities to inner city tertiary, trauma, and academic medical centers.
Mr. Fowler was the Chief Executive Officer of Southern California Healthcare System, Inc., a multi- hospital system in the greater Los Angeles. In 2016, Mr. Fowler was the President and CEO of Marina Del Rey Hospital. He transitioned the hospital to Cedars-Sinai Health System, and was lauded for his leadership during the ownership transition. In 2012, Mr. Fowler served as Chief Executive Officer of Barstow Community Hospital where he received the distinguished CEO Excellence in Leadership Award for operational excellence from Community Health Systems, and while with Community Health Systems his performance earned him the rankings as the #1 CEO within Division IV and #5 CEO within the company. Mr. Fowler was also the Chief Operating Officer at Western Medical Center Santa Ana, a level II trauma center. Prior to that, Mr. Fowler worked at Tenet Healthcare for ten years holding various Chief Executive and Operating positions within the Tenet Healthcare System.
Mr. Fowler has a Bachelor’s Degree from Texas A & M University in College Station, Texas, and a Master’s Degree in Health Administration/Business Administration from the University of Houston- Clear Lake in Clear Lake, Texas. He is currently a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
